The article is devoted to students' training in decorative drawing, styles of stylization in the depiction of plants, flowers. The value of visual-dectic manuals for the stylization of natural objects is determined. Typological and functional characteristics of educational and visual aids are given. The specifics of the educational and visual aid in the form of a workbook on decorative drawing are revealed. It is proved that one of the effective types of methodological visual aid is a workbook in which examples with the phased performance of stylization, and tasks for independent implementation, which, with the help of practice and visualization, will help to help more detail the basics of graphic design.

The article considers the specifics of the decorative arts in the Stavropol region. The creative efforts of artists and arts collectives of the enterprises – folk traditions continue to evolve in a new form in modern products. Today the art and crafts presented by such products as Kislovodsk porcelain, rugs, carpets, embroidery, Souvenirs. A reflection of the continuous creative search and new discoveries of artist was the technique of enamel.
