The article examines the transformation of the position of women in the context of the colonization of Korea. The forced "discovery" of Korea in the second half of the 19th century made it vulnerable to developed states: in the course of the struggle for a new sphere of influence, Japan established a protectorate over Korea. Contrary to the expectations of some reformers, Japan did not become a pillar in the modernization of the Korean state, perceiving Korea only as a colony. The involvment of female low-paid labor and the sexual exploitation of Korean women became evidence of the exploitative nature of Japanese colonial policy.

The article analyzes the educational policy of Hungary as a tool for forming components of «soft power»: the image of the state in the world public opinion, the socialization of compatriots abroad and the possibility of their use as agents of influence in solving both foreign policy and internal political tasks. The author considers the possibilities of using various methods of forming the attractiveness of education within the framework of social policy, as well as the policy towards national minorities.

The subject of this monograph is the disclosure of issues of patriotic and legal education of students of higher education as the most important components of educational policy in the university. The urgency of the concept of education of viable generations of Russian youth is substantiated, which assumes to be law-abiding, socially responsible, possess a developed sense of inner freedom and dignity, and be a patriot. We are talking about mastering students during their studies at the university with civic maturity and social activity, legal culture, careful attitude to the moral and moral values ​​of the rule of law state. Research data are given.

Using econometric techniques in the present work, we examined various aspects of the educational institutions in the Volgograd region, revealed the results of their activity. We found out a number of the problems existing now in education and defined the strategic goals of education development. We also analyzed the mechanisms of regional policy directed to improvement of education quality in the Volgograd region.
