In this article, the existing problems of instrumental production in the Russian market are considered. Based on the analysis of innovative technologies, their functionality and efficiency, prospects of development of industrial enterprises due to production modernization are considered. The necessity of using additive technologies for enterprises of the metalworking industry has been identified and justified.

The article considers the existing problems of foundry production in the Russian market. On the basis of the analysis of the most common additive printing technologies, the necessity to produce a tooling based on economical and perfect methods with the use of 3D printing from ABS plastic, allowing to reduce the cost of production, was revealed and justified.
