Linguostylistic features of an English sermon

Annotation

the article deals with understudied genre of a religious sermon to analyze some linguostylistic features. The object of this research is a number of different English sermons. The method of linguostylistic analysis gives detailed description of lexical, grammatical stylistic means and precedent phenomena that appears to be the article subject. The article results are of great help for courses on linguistics, English language stylistics, intercultural communication, text linguistics and theolinguistics.

the article deals with some literary translation features to analyze adequacy of the translator’s solution. The object of this research is the epigraph of the English novel «Flowers for Agernon» by D. Keyes.
