In difficult historical times Art not only responds to what is happening, but may also help to find a way out of the crisis. And this article is dedicated to the consideration of this very issue.

The importance of memory is difficult to underestimate. Not only does it help us to reinforce our cultural identity, but it also gives us an opportunity to learn from our mistakes and be more successful in the future. Yet some people tend to forget how precious and significant their memories are. And I do believe that it is high time we walked down memory lane and tried to set things right.

The article examines the relationship between cultural and artistic cycles, defines the significance of art in the spiritual formation of civilization, and gives a cultural assessment of stylistic models of artistic creativity.

The content of the monograph has a practical focus – the skills formation on art and design works reading by students, that is inseparable from creativity development of their future professional activity – creating an aesthetically expressive subject-spatial environment in the future profession. Theoretical disciplines «History of Art», «History of Design, Science and Technology» within the framework of which educational and research work is laid down reveal the nature of analysis, description of artistic and engineering products.
