At the department "Automation of production processes" (APP) of KSTU widely used laboratory complexes based on the equipment of world companies. The goals and objectives of the development of a new teaching and laboratory stand are determined. Studies of the selected programmable logic controller (PLC) are performed. PLC-compatible hardware and programming environment for the PLC is searched. The laboratory stand “Mechanical processing area” is selected as the control object. A flowchart of the control object and its control system have been developed. The main goal is the creation of a laboratory and methodological complex for studying the stand “Control system based on a Mitsubishi FХ5U controller” to control a real object — a belt conveyor made by Fischer Technik.
