Medical tourism in India promises a bright spot for multiple reasons both from the side of the arriving patients as well as from the supply side. It has multiple modes of treatment which are availed by the incoming patients from Ayurveda to Buddhist to Herbal medicinal treatments. In terms of pharmaceutical cost and availability as well, India fares better than many countries which are seen especially in generic medicines that India is known for and which have brought India both friendship as well as hostility from countries. The post-COVID world is starkly new in terms of the medical world. It has radically altered how we perceive the medical field and the world around it. India's medical tourism is no exception as it faces challenges in contemporary times. This paper studies the development of medical tourism in India in the previous decade. The study provides an overview of medical tourism in India and the reasons for the country becoming one of the popular choices for patients from abroad.

As the global economy develops, more and more attention is paid to the creation of tourist clusters, which are extremely important for the economy and national competitiveness. This article analyzes the cluster of medical tourism in Lithuania, and explores the conditions for its successful functioning. The creation of the medical tourism cluster is highly influenced by a number of factors: the regulation of tourist and medical services, the level of entrepreneurial activity, human resources, the experience of partnership. In addition, the article analyzes the structure of the medical tourism cluster, determines the prerequisites for the functioning of the Lithuanian medical tourism cluster, including a wide range of services, European standards for the provision of medical services, high qualification of specialists, etc. When writing the article, the methods of systematic and logical analysis of scientific literature were used.

This article analyzes general trends of the development of Lithuanian medical tourism, as well as relevant problems that hamper its development. The article describes the specialization of the private and public sectors in providing medical services, analyzes the flows of medical tourists to Lithuania, and discusses the concept of clustering medical tourism in the country. In particular, the article contains a SWOT analysis of this sector. When writing the article, the methods of systematic, statistical and logical analysis of scientific literature were used.

Данное исследование посвящено анализу феномена медицинского туризма как одного из новых направлений в международном туризме. В статье отражены результаты анализа состояния и перспектив развития медицинского туризма в Калининградской области на основе использования метода SWOT-анализа. Полученные результаты могут быть полезны тем, кто хочет развивать медицинский туризм в этом регионе – как представителям бизнеса, так и органам государственной власти.

Лечебно-оздоровительный туризм является перспективной и динамично развивающейся отраслью. За 2016 – начало 2017 г. наблюдается значительный прирост туристов в различные санатории, здравницы, курорты. Основными мировыми тенденциями развития отрасли являются ориентация на экотуризм, косметологические и оздоровительные процедуры, посещение бань и саун, отдых в полной тишине и с познанием сфер творчества и искусства.
