Protection of forests from fires is necessary for preservation and development of forest-industrial regions of Russia. Despite years of research, the problem of detection, prevention and extinguishing of forest fires has worsened in many countries of the world. Using the methodology, patentable solutions have been developed to prevent and extinguish forest fires by cutting wood-shrub vegetation while continuously moving basic forest machines.

On the basis of patent search, new technical solutions for detection, prevention and suppression of forest fires, patented in Russia in 2017-2018.

Опыт, полученный в ходе тушения лесоторфяных пожаров в 2010 году, позволяет сделать вывод, что система мониторинга лесных пожаров требует более детальной проработки. В статье рассматриваются особенности технологий мониторинга и прогнозирования природных пожаров, а также рассматриваются тенденции в развитии мониторинга и прогнозирования лесных пожаров, позволяющих проводит верификацию данных, полученных космическим, авиационным и наземными методами.
