The article deals with the problem of patriotic, spiritual and moral education of the younger generation of the Russian Federation. The author collected data by interviewing schoolchildren of grades 6-11. The research base was MBOU secondary school No. 37 in Stavropol. After the survey, the author analyzed the data using the linear approximation method. The generalized results showed that the majority of students are ready to defend the Russian Federation and support the current government. This pattern grows with the age of the respondents, which indicates the direct role of the educational institution in patriotic education. At the moment, the All-Russian children's and youth military-patriotic social movement "Yunarmiya" is one of the most important elements of the state program for the revival of patriotic values and the education of the younger generation, aimed at forming positively significant ideas about the Motherland, expressing an emotional attitude to the Motherland.

The formation of the personality of a modern schoolboy presupposes the assimilation of a system of values that together allow you to form an attitude towards society, yourself, people, culture, and the world as a whole. The value (everything that can be of some importance to people), assimilated by a person, form the basis of the content of education.
