Legal security of personal data is a very relevant topic. This lies in the fact that in modern society, information technology plays a significant role in the everyday and everyday life of people. Each of us systematically gives information about himself that allows us to be identified. In turn, this threatens with the emergence of risks that entail adverse consequences. Having lost control over information about themselves, people risk falling into the hands of intruders who can use our personal data for their own selfish purposes. This article discusses ways to minimize the occurrence of these risks. The article allows you to get acquainted with the recommendations on the protection of personal data, explains what responsibility is provided for non-observance of the rights of citizens to protect information containing personal data. The article discusses the main legal problems in the field of online security regulation.

This article focuses on the security of personal data in social networks. In modern society, almost each of us is registered in at least one social network, where we communicate and exchange information with each other. However, there are significant risks and dangers, since the personal data of many people can be stolen. The style of openness and spontaneity that is characteristic of communication in social networks can often be used by detractors or criminals. In this article, the problems associated with the security of personal data of users of social networks were considered, and an analysis was made of ways to protect personal data in social networks. The article also points out exactly how users of social networks on their own, without resorting to anyone else's help, can ensure the security of their personal data and warn them against leakage and theft.

The urgency of the issue treated in this paper is determined by the fact that the federal law requires personal data operators to guarantee the safety of processed personal data by developing security systems based on a number of organizational and technical security measures, as well as their evaluation. When choosing the organisational and technical security measures, the problem of having to consider a large number of normative and procedural documents which regulate this process arises. The aim of this study is to develop the procedural guidelines for choosing and assessing the effectiveness of suggested organizational and technical security measures for data protection in personal data information systems.

The question of the citizens' personal data processing is very important, and the solution for this problem should be the adoption of legislation expressly regulating the activities of personal data operators. The authors considered one of the most effective approaches to personal data protection – anonymization, as well as identified two developments to adoption of legislation. Anonymization not only protects the interests of the state and, first and foremost, the citizens, but it is also a mechanism that will allow advertising, insurance and other companies to improve the quality of their products and services.

According to the authors, every day a number of threats to information security increases, and this requires an increase in resources (systems) of information protection of organizations and enterprises. There are many information security tools with different functionality, but the main mean of preventing information leakage is the Date Loss Prevention (DLP) system. If you need to establish control over the leak of confidential information there appear a number of questions of conformity of decisions with the legislation and regulations. This article describes the issue of compliance functionality of a DLP system the provisions and requirements of the legislation in the sphere of protection of family and personal secrets, as well as compliance with the Constitutional right of citizens to privacy of correspondence.

Different organizations are under the conditions of migration. The problems with supplying them with access to people by means of communication services is observed in this article. For this purpose, we demonstrate the use of existing services, which were verified by comparative analysis of the possibilities offered by the mobile operators and conducting the survey in small groups. We propose the idea of personal data synchronization by the subscriber’s request.
