The article is devoted to the analysis of the possibilities of the educational subject "Geography" in the professional orientation of students. The content of geography covers a variety of topics: nature, population and economy of the Earth, which opens up a wide range of professions for students and provides great opportunities for self-determination. Career guidance in geography lessons should be structured systematically and purposefully in accordance with the work program, the innovations of modern education and taking into account the demands of the labor market of your region. The purpose of the study is to consider the possibility of using geography lessons as a platform for vocational guidance activities of students in order to activate the process of professional self-determination.

The article presents a study of how a game can change a person's life. At the beginning of the article, some variants of the concepts and meanings of the word “game” which are used in the article are provided. The following are examples of how the influence of the game on a person, their mood, emotional state and psyche in general can be studied. The mechanism that affects the consolidation of a new positive experience and the transformation that occurred in the game, is described. The mechanism that is embedded in our body, in physiology, is based on the production of hormones. It is through evaluating and observing the emotional state of the participants in the game that we can see how the game changes not only the emotional state of the participants, but also strengthens their resilience. Changes their very lives.

This article deals with the problem of civic education of preschool children by means of acquaintance with the world of professions. Pre-school children are significantly expanding their understanding of the world of professions, as well as the role of adult labor in the life of everyone and society as a whole.

The article poses the problem of ensuring the balance of supply and demand in the market of intellectual and labor resources using the National Qualifications Framework. The author proposes to apply a systematic functional approach to solve this problem. The typology of functionally related professional tasks is presented in the paper.

The article considers some psychological conditions of the teacher-linguist’s professional personality development at the stage of choosing career, at the stage of mastering profession and at the stage of realization oneself in profession. The article is devoted to the analysis of the modern problems of interaction of the system of humanitarian education and the requirements of labor market (city of Ekaterinburg as an example). Based on the analysis of the data in 2016 of expert interviews and a survey of opinions of the representatives of various economic sectors, the authors managed to fix the trend of division of «new» and «old» humanitarian professions as the signal of labor market for the educational system. The article may be interesting for the managers of the system of professional training.
