The article is devoted to complex research of cinematography and its aesthetic peculiarities. The author draws our attention to cinematic art analyses concrete examples.

The construction of the perfect image of «Soviet man» is discussed in this article on the example of the first Soviet sports film. Sports activity and success in sport, which are understood as a leisure and recreation, can play only a supporting role in the life of Soviet man, while work in production must be on the first terms. Meeting with an external rival, which represents the East world, let’s move to a new level of confrontation in order to demonstrate the advantage of the Soviet way of life.

In the article questions of the organization of educational work with cadets and listeners of educational organizations of the higher professional education system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on the basis of the organization of a cinema club are considered. The article examines the cultural leisure time of citizens of the USSR in the 70-s on the example of the city of Nizhnekamsk. The paper is devoted to the problem of the contradiction between the influence of modern cinema to the social mood of students and lack of knowledge about the nature of this phenomenon, its forms and the need to overcome it. Collecting primary data was carried out by questionnaire with the following treatment by IBM SPSS Statistics v21.0. The study also used such methods of data processing, as the frequency distribution and content analysis. The study revealed the main features and consequences of the impact of modern films on students.
