The text of written speech can be perceived simultaneously, the perception of written speech differs in many ways from the perception of oral speech. Writing is characterized by a very complex compositional and structural organization, which must be specially mastered, and hence the special task of teaching writing at school.

This article examines the functioning of the Russian language in the form of oral and written speech. Both of these speech forms use the same units of language, but in different ways. Oral speech and written speech are designed for different perception and therefore differ in lexical composition and syntactic constructions.

The normativity applies to all sections of the Russian language, including morphology. In this sense, the study of the adjective name of the most numerous word class after nouns is particularly burdensome. Skillful use of adjectives can give a statement a unique originality, special expressiveness, make it colorful and expressive.

Having acquired the basic knowledge of the Russian language in the pre-entry courses and having started the first year at the university, foreign students face certain linguistic difficulties while studying professional foreign language. First year students should master three forms of academic speech style: an oral report on the professionally-oriented topic; an oral type of the academic speech i.e. a lecture, and a written form of the academic speech – authentic textbooks reading. The developed technology of professional language training promotes the performance of foreign students; teaches to characterize and describe the objects; provide strong argumentation of their choice; allows to understand how to use the language successfully as a means of obtaining professionally valuable information.
