«The need for people with disabilities due to coronary heart disease in medical and social rehabilitation and the results of its implementation»

The study of the need for people with disabilities due to coronary artery dis-ease in various types of medical and social rehabilitation over a 7-year observation period showed that disabled people needed medical rehabilitation in 100% of cas-es, in professional – in 43.2%, in social – 88.6%, in technical means of rehabilita-tion in 7.6%. In the section of medical rehabilitation, 89.3% of disabled people needed inpatient rehabilitation treatment, 91.1% – outpatient treatment, 46.3% – in sanatorium treatment. Rational employment was needed by 44.8% of disabled persons of group III, 6.1% – disabled persons of group II. 86.4% of disabled peo-ple needed information and consulting services, 77.6% needed legal assistance, 39.8% needed psychological assistance. The proportion of implemented IPRAs was 98.4%, of which in the section of medical rehabilitation – 98.3% of cases, in pro-fessional – 16.6%, in social – 77.7%. The IPRA was fully implemented in 69.6% of cases, partially in 27.3%, and the non-implemented IPRA was 3.1%. As a result of the implementation of these measures, 6.3% of disabled people achieved full com-pensation for impaired functions, 46.8% – partial compensation for impaired func-tions, 8.5% of disabled people achieved full self-service ability, 12.4% – partial, 17, 2% of disabled people are provided with employment. When assessing the need for people with disabilities due to coronary artery disease in various types of reha-bilitation, the leading role of medical rehabilitation with active dynamic control and psychological assistance, the need for motivation for vocational rehabilitation was determined.

«Accessibility of Rural Tourism Services for the Disabled in Lithuania»

Rural tourism has great potential for attracting people with different interests, but it requires close cooperation in the planning and implementation of strategic development directions and measures related to tourism. At present time, the social model of integration of the disabled is becoming more and more established. A person with a disability needs adapted infrastructure to travel. Actions should be implemented in accordance with the principle that people with disabilities, like all people, need access and integration. Therefore, it is important to study the accessibility of rural tourism services for the disabled in Lithuania.

Adaptive «Physical culture» is intended for disabled people training and persons with limited opportunities of health taking into account features of their psychophysical development, individual opportunities and the state of health, and if necessary providing correction of development disorder and social adaptation of specified persons. One of ways to involve into active social life and professional activity disabled people with certain deviations on health, to create favorable conditions for their physical, psychological and social rehabilitation is health and fitness and sports activity.

The aim of this article is to present the issues regarding the development and implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the companies with special emphasis on disabled persons among firms. CSR refers to the standards for conduct that an organization sets for itself in its dealings within the organization and with the outside environment. The author reviewed the vast literature on the subject, starting with the publications, books and articles to different reports and case studies. The author wants to show corporate social responsibility from different angle and present different ways of adding value to company.

«Job coach in supported employment»

The labour market is a place where a constant competition between candidates eager to get employment and those who want to maintain it takes place. Of course, the best chance of getting a job have people who are educated and qualified in occupations within a deficit group. We cannot forget that nowadays on the labour market there is a surplus of labour supply over demand. With such a competition, little chance of getting a job have people affected by social exclusion. They are, among others, people with disabilities, including intellectual ones. Another problem is the demographic changes observed in many countries of the world, which indicate that due to low population growth and lack of direct replacement of generations, the labour market will run out of hands to work. As a result of this, in many countries working age is extended. Authors assume that such treatments may not be sufficient and countries will have to use the resources previously unaccounted for or included in a small proportion, for example people with disabilities. This paper introduces reader to the system of supported employment. This concept, although new, is gaining more and more supporters. In the study the authors focus special attention on the future profession – job coach. They describe the qualifications necessary to perform this function, and also show the forms of professional development of a person employed for the job.

The problem of inclusion of people with disabilities into the real life of society is urgent all over the world. One of the main tasks of education and upbringing of children with intellectual disabilities is the optimal development of their potential cognitive functions and personality in general, training and their inclusion into environment as full members of society. In the process of scientific literature studying on the subject and practical work, using a variety of methods and techniques of children with disabilities education, the author came to the conclusion that labour activity is the most effective tool of social adaptation and implementation of individual capabilities of children with disabilities.
