In the article, based on the analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature, the main causes of the disorder and the developmental characteristics of mothers and children with complex disorders at different stages of ontogenesis (infancy, early age and younger preschool age).

Three main variations are revealed: "Turgenev`s girl", possessing high spirituality, purity, strength of character; "infernal woman," having something magic, correlated in the works of the writer with the motive of love-power; a woman-mother, in which, on the one hand, the features of the lady mistress of the aristocratic estate, hungry for adoration, worship, which carries a shade of falsehood, are pointed out, and on the other hand, the mother of the family, giving her relatives warmth and love. However, all female images are described with psychological realness and depth.
