The implementation of the ORG course at the SevSU sites was of a combined nature - traditional lectures complemented discussions, within the framework of which the material proposed by the relevant ministry was critically comprehended and improved. At the same time, I would like to once again draw attention to the complexity of the ideological tasks stated in the academic course, which is difficult for first-year students to perceive. Discussions around the issue of the national-state idea, in particular about the essential features of Russian civilization, the specifics of the existence of the socio-cultural phenomenon "Russian state-civilization" in various epochs, the ways of forming the intellectual and spiritual image of the peoples of the Russian Federation, are still far from over.

The formation of the personality of a modern schoolboy presupposes the assimilation of a system of values that together allow you to form an attitude towards society, yourself, people, culture, and the world as a whole. The value (everything that can be of some importance to people), assimilated by a person, form the basis of the content of education. The task of education is to form the appropriate value orientations – the value relations of the subject to the objects and phenomena of reality. Any value acquires true meaning if it is included in a certain educational system.

The article analyses the final lines of V. Soloviev’s work “The General Sense of Art,” correlating them with the art tendencies of the modern civilization. The author addresses Soloviev’s idea about the transforming role of art in relation to the reality, the real life. It is stated that, in the modern era, within the commercial mass culture domination, the entertaining function of art comes to the forefront. At the same time, an opposing tendency can be observed: a movement towards the all-encompassing unity, understanding of the universal, the priority of common values (the ideas of ecological ethics, common religion, non-violence). The author indicates that the dialectic negation of the negation law is manifested in the history of art, in the realization of its varied functions.

The article considers the influence of morality on the effectiveness of economic laws. The thesis of "world unification" based on Western values forms the basis of a deeply racist ideology of Eurocentrism, devoid of scientific content. The author raises the problem of the construction of ecological civilization in China in terms of the definition of «ecological civilization» in the context of traditional Chinese culture in its relationship with the traditional and the modern understanding of harmony and harmonious society, and the development of regulation in the sphere of environmental protection. In the article the analysis of philosophical aspects of this problem is given. The author demonstrates the approach developed by the Chinese scholars to understanding of the ecological civilization as a new stage in the human society’s development coming after industrial society. In conclusion the author proposes to consider this approach a necessary civilizational choice that is to be made by the Chinese society.

The author of the article points out, that modern civilizational confrontation in the territories of the Former Soviet Union testifies to the historical insolvency of the United States current geopolitical strategy, undermining the foundations of current world order. The article considers content-based links between the concepts of «civilization» and «culture» in the Russian and English languages. The purpose of the study is comparing their content-based components in the lexical semantic fields of verbalization of the concepts under consideration in the Russian and English languages. The research employs the method of cognitive comparative analysis. The analysis of lexical and semantic composition reveals similarities and differences in their structuring in the English and Russian languages. According to the author the result of comparison suggests implications that the concepts under study are perceived differently by the representatives of the Russian and English cultures and contributes to the revelation of national peculiarity of conceptualization of cognate phenomena in the mentality of different peoples.
