«Theoretical calculation of the dependence of ultimate strength of metals on their physical properties based on the “unpacking” concept of substance»

A theoretical estimate of the dependence of ultimate strength on the physical properties of a solid substance—such as density, molecular weight, melting point, and enthalpy of fusion—has been obtained. This dependence explains how these properties influence the material’s strength based on the “unpacking” concept of substance matter. The physical limits of applicability for the concept of “force” in Newtonian mechanics, and its distinction from the “unpacking” concept, are substantiated. This dependence, while similar in form to the Clapeyron-Mendeleev equation for an ideal gas, has a different physical interpretation when applied to the ultimate strength of a solid. The calculated dependence was compared with tabulated data on the ultimate strength of 15 industrial metals. This model allows for the explanation and prediction of ultimate strength values for metals in the periodic table.

«How can a student prove the ABC hypothesis using prime numbers, quantum mechanics and creative imagination?»

The ABC conjecture states that for three mutually prime numbers A, B, and C satisfying the relation A + B = C, the product of the prime divisors A, B, and C is usually not much less than C. The theorem is very simple to formulate, but extremely difficult to prove. Some five hundred pages have been spent by some of the most eminent mathematicians in the Western world trying to find a proof - but the result is anything but ambiguous and difficult to verify. Meanwhile, any student with advanced training in the exact sciences can understand and prove the ABC hypothesis, relying on creative imagination based on the synthesis of school knowledge, including physics and chemistry. Prime numbers have a huge research potential, they play a unifying role in understanding the world around us. And this is important for education.

Both theorems are formulated very simply, but are extremely difficult to prove. Hundreds of pages have been spent by eminent mathematicians of Western world searching for proofs, and the search for proofs continues. The author found new methods of proof that are generally understandable, even to schoolchildren on the basis of a synthesis of several sciences, including physics. Number theory plays an interesting role in pedagogy.

«Molecular Energy Concept of Substances Unpacking»

This article brings together previously published evidence of the unified nature of physical processes and phenomena in terms of changes in the energy of a substance molecule. The unified physical nature of all these physical phenomena has been proven, as a single multistage process of energetic unpacking of molecules of a substance, which is logical to call the molecular-energy concept of unpacking a substance. The considered processes include the following processes. Surface rupture, characterized by the surface tension coefficient. The melting process of a substance characterized by its melting point. A boiling process characterized by the boiling point. Evaporation (and condensation) process characterized by internal energy and enthalpy as well as critical point. The conclusions of the theory are confirmed by well-known empirical dependences and by reference books of the physical properties of simple substances: internal energy, enthalpy, surface tension, melting point, boiling point and critical point.

«Representation of capillary phenomena from the physical model of unpacking a liquid»

Based on the physical model of «unpacking» a fluid, published in 1983 to explain the physical nature of surface tension, an explanation of capillary phenomena was proposed. The unified physical nature of the condensation process and the processes in the capillaries expressed in terms of the surface tension of the liquid is proved. To prove the applicability of the «unpacking» model for capillary phenomena, an empirical Borelli-Jurin formula for determining the height of fluid lifting in capillaries was theoretically derived depending on the magnitude of the surface tension. The assumptions under which the formula is obtained are indicated. In addition, the article proposes a new formula for determining the maximum height of liquid lift in the capillaries, depending on the critical temperature of the liquid and the molecular weight of the liquid.

«Correlation of temperatures of melting and boiling of substances from the hypotheses of unpacking the substance»

According to the properties of melting points and boiling points of the elements of the periodic table of D.I. Mendeleyev the application of the unpacking hypothesis of the substance was verified. The article contains the results of the verification. In general, according to the data for 98 substances taken from the information in Internet, convergence of results with an error of up to 40% for 73 substances was obtained. The effect of periodicity on the result is found. An exception to the calculated dependences was obtained for ten substances: noble gas and most halogens. A large discrepancy between the theoretical formulas and the reference data was also caused by the 14 elements of the middle groups.

«Light-geometry of the "vacuum". Fundamentals of the Algebra of Signatures»

This work fits into a framework of a program, elucidated in [1–3], of the geometrization of physics, as set in motion by the mathematical works of William Kingdon Clifford and continued into Einstein’s theory of General Relativity as well as the theories of John Archibald Wheeler. It discusses the physical and mathematical foundations of vacuum light-geometry and the Algebra of Signatures. The vacuum is investigated by probing it with mutually perpendicular monochromatic rays of light with different wavelengths. The result is a hierarchy of nested 3-D light landscapes («λmn-vacua»). We consider a locally uncurved and curved state of a vacuum region on the basis of the mathematical theory known as the Algebra of Signatures. A «vacuum condition» is formulated, based on the definition of the «vacuum balance». Inert properties of the λmn-vacuum are considered. A kinematic basis for the possibility of discontinuities in a local neighborhood of a λmn-vacuum is introduced. On the basis of the foundations of the Algebra of Signatures described in [2; 3], metric-dynamic models of all elementary particles included in the Standard Model are obtained. In this paper new concepts are introduced, some of them with correspondingly new terminology. Therefore, at the end of the article a glossary of new terms is provided.

«Interconnection between melting, boiling and critical points»

We received theoretical formulas of the interconnection between melting, boiling and critical temperatures. Uniform physical representation of melting, boiling and evaporation processes was the basis for deriving the formula of interconnection between them. We use the concept of the material substance internal energy in terms of the molecules “unpacking” idea. The reference manual data on 85 substances from 13 to 855 degrees Kelvin confirms the theoretically derived formulas. We carried out the comparison of theoretical formulas and experimental data by their mean values. A simple ideal substance model with spherical molecules was considered as a model of substance molecule. The melting point is 1/3, and the boiling point ranges from 1/2 to 2/3 of the critical point for this model.
