«Theoretical calculation of the dependence of ultimate strength of metals on their physical properties based on the “unpacking” concept of substance»
A theoretical estimate of the dependence of ultimate strength on the physical properties of a solid substance—such as density, molecular weight, melting point, and enthalpy of fusion—has been obtained. This dependence explains how these properties influence the material’s strength based on the “unpacking” concept of substance matter. The physical limits of applicability for the concept of “force” in Newtonian mechanics, and its distinction from the “unpacking” concept, are substantiated. This dependence, while similar in form to the Clapeyron-Mendeleev equation for an ideal gas, has a different physical interpretation when applied to the ultimate strength of a solid. The calculated dependence was compared with tabulated data on the ultimate strength of 15 industrial metals. This model allows for the explanation and prediction of ultimate strength values for metals in the periodic table.

The theoretical and experimental results of the investigation of fixed abrasive polishing of ceramic are presented in the paper. The equations of the intensity of dispersion allowing to assess the performance and the accuracy of shaping by using related technological environment and the geometry of the lapping are given in the article.

«Improving the efficiency of cutting ceramics with layered multicomponent functional composite materials»
The article deals with the problem of the development of materials science. The author pays special attention to the issue of the development of new materials, which is associated with the increasing requirements to boost the level of their physical, chemical, technological and operational properties and the creation of technologies for obtaining and production. The idea is substantiated that the development and production of instrumental materials is of particular scientific and practical interest. It is known that in mechanical engineering and other industries, labor productivity and the quality of machining of machine parts largely depends on the applied cutting ceramics (СС). The choice of material for the cutting part of the tool over the centuries has been a priority for science, technology and has been closely associated with the development of metallurgy, and more recently with powder metallurgy, the influence of concentrated energy flows, as well as physics and chemistry of solids.

«Methods of Strength Building of Qualified Weightlifters»
The article shows that in the training process of modern weightlifters of high qualification, combinations of several most effective methods of developing muscle strength are used. During the preparation of the article, the analysis of scientific and methodological literature on the research topic was carried out. The training plans of qualified weightlifters were also studied. The results of the study allow us to conclude that from 70% to 90% of the total training load of qualified weightlifters falls on exercises performed using the method of repeated effort and the method of short-term maximum stress

Variant of the design of a dual-purpose container for transporting and storing spent nuclear fuel has been proposed. It improves the manufacturability, reduces the mass of liquid iron for the manufacture of the casting of the hull, improves the degree of neutron protection and heat transfer characteristics without increasing the overall dimensions and wall thickness of the case.

This article is dedicated to the casting technology in oil and gas industry, representing a complex of industrial enterprises for the extraction, transportation, processing and distribution of final products of oil and gas refining. Many components used in machines and equipment of the oil and gas complex are made by casting. Casting is one of the oldest and main methods of obtaining metal products and blanks. The main advantage of casting production in oil and gas industry is that it is possible to produce any component or spare part of the machine and equipment used in the extraction of oil and gas of various configurations and masses. Oil and gas equipment is a product operating under difficult climatic conditions, therefore the used parts manufactured by casting must have high accuracy and sufficient strength, i.e. have improved operational performance characteristics.
