This review presents an analysis of the literature on studies of the salience neural network, the dynamics of neural network formation during ontogenesis of the brain, and salience dysregulation in neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders. The role of dopaminergic imbalance in the formation of aberrant salience in schizophrenia is considered. Particular attention is paid to the studies of the significance of motivational salience and reward system in the pathogenesis of addictive disorders.

In this article, the problem of declining reader interest among high school students is considered. A way of solving this problem is proposed: increasing high school students' interest in reading by using modern technologies. The research methods used in this paper include theoretical (analysis of scientific, non-fiction and fiction literature, followed by analysis and synthesis of obtained data), as well as empirical (a survey in order to determine the reading activity of students, comparison and analysis of obtained data, systematization and statistical processing of research materials) methods. The author has examined several modern information and communication resources, of which those most suitable for the purpose of this study have been selected: an online survey, a poster, a book trailer and an Internet forum. The results of this study demonstrated a positive dynamic in 10th grade students' reader interest, thus confirming the hypothesis.

The planet and its satellite are interconnected by a shared gravity, which moves along the surface of the planet as the result of the satellite moving in an orbit. The discussed movement of gravity applies to all planets and the Sun. The shared gravity is at its maximum on the Earth and Sun surface. Particular celestial bodies have their beginning, evolution and end. On the whole, the Universe has always existed and will always exist, and such major formations as galaxies and stars will never cease to exist.

This article is related to obtaining methods for calculating the net-premium for franchise insurance certificate without taking into consideration life insurance. The theoretical foundations of such actuarial expectations are revealed, methods for calculating the mathematical expectation of a random value of insurer's loss from an event insured according to the franchise insurance certificate for gamma and logarithmically normal distributions of a random value of losses are presented, methods for statistical estimation of the mathematical expectation of a random value of the insurer's loss from an event insured in the presence of franchise insurance certificate are described in the article. The author comes to the conclusion that the obtained statistical estimation methods allow us to calculate net-premiums based on historical data without involving any known probabilistic distribution of a random value of loss from analytically specified event insured.

Analyzing the processes of mass media development, the author considers a number of specific features underlying the principles of online media functioning; explores the concept of interaction between online media and the modern consumer; structural and technological transformations affecting the principles of content creation and associated with monetization. The questions discussed in the article will allow participants in the learning process to understand the multidimensionality of the modern mass media and to set guidelines for further research.

The article deals with the fact that gravity is mutual magnitude, if the mass of one of the bodies is close to zero, and the force of gravity common to the two bodies tends to zero. One body does not have gravity. Also, in the article, the authors attempt to prove that the Sun and Jupiter have a huge force, since they are massive bodies in themselves and they also move at low speeds. The authors come to the conclusion that if the Galaxy had gravity, all its stars would have been knocked together long ago. The authors also prove that friction forces always exist. And the frictional forces prevent even rectilinear motion by inertia, the body will stop, continuing to rotate around its axis, if the body has satellites. The authors emphasize that if the body moves, it means that there is someone who moves now, or there is, or was someone who moved before, and it, those-lo, moves by inertia.

This article is devoted to the analysis of the current state of the problem of Internet addiction, which includes the following issues: the boundaries of diagnosis, diagnostic criteria, clinical manifestations, epidemiology data, neurobiological studies, comorbidity, existing approaches to therapy. In the past of two decades, there was an increase in publications devoted to the phenomenon of Internet addiction. Despite the existing disagreements in the professional environment about the validity of the very concept of «Internet addiction», every year there was several studies in the field of neurobiology, psychology, clinical psychiatry, proving that Internet addiction is a particular variant of behavioral addictive disorders. In the recent years, Internet addiction has gained special significance in a number of Asian countries (China, South Korea), where this type of pathology is becoming a national problem among young people.

Appearing not long ago, new psychoactive substances (designer drugs), including synthetic cannabinoids, derivatives of cathinone, phenethylamines, new stimulants, synthetic opioids, tryptamine derivatives, phencyclidine, piperazine, the GABA (A/B) receptors agonists, have become a serious problem for consumers and for physicians. Consumers of these substances are attracted primarily by the intensity of psychoactive effects, and the «legal high» declared by the black manufacturers, which indicates that significant difficulties in a laboratory identification of new surfactants. Designer drugs, when ingested, can be influenced on many neurotransmitter pathways/receptors: dopamine, cannabinoid (CB1), GABA (A/B), 5-HT2A, glutamate, and k-opioid receptors (KOR), the imbalance of which leads to the development of polymorphic psychotic disorders.

This article tells about the phenomenon of dependence on social networks. Said phenomenon is not formally recognized as a diagnosis in the existing classifications of mental and behavioral disorders. At the same time, the dynamics of the development of dependence on social networks has much in common with the «classical» addictive disorders. The following symptoms and syndromes can be distinguished in the structure of dependence on social networks: craving, mental discomfort with the affective component, growth of tolerance, withdrawal syndrome, salience, relapse. The process of formation of dependence on social networks is influenced by a combination of neurobiological, individual, and also social factors, which allow understanding the mechanisms of the formation of the disorder and developing approaches to treatment.

The article discusses the features of the cognitive processes of students, including the process of cognition in context with the artistic and educational environment that ensures the reflection of the phenomena of the objective world in solving the upcoming life tasks. The impact of an insufficiently objective attitude to the discipline «Visual arts» in school teaching practice, which influences the development of cognitive-visual (visual-cognitive) thinking of students, is shown. It is in the artistic and educational environment that the skills of visual perception of various information are formed using the pictorial language of images, clarity, sign and symbolic systems that promote the conscious use of concepts and inference in any academic discipline. As a result, it is shown that the development of cognitive processes includes the formation of internal motivational activity of children, methods of perception of visual information associated with information exchange, inspired by cognitive metaphor and cognitive load, as a result, children's intellectual development, including cognition, explanation and understanding of educational information.
