This article discusses the question of the linguistic features of the sociolect. «Socialization» of words is connected with the laws of society, professional, social and other factors of speakers. For example, comparative analysis is given to certain words in the Uzbek language, which can be used by different social groups with different meanings and shades. Also special attention is paid to the fact that the expressions of the socioselect in the new dictionaries – two-volume (1981) and five-volume (2006–2008) dictionaries of the Uzbek language.

In order to achieve this purpose, a linguo-semiotic analysis is undertaken which solves the following tasks: identification of the semiotic techniques used by the poet, and the subsequent interpretation of the poem.

This article covers the expression of implicit gender identity of the subject of speech activity in the 19th and 20th century women's memories. The study revealed that implicit gender aspects associated with linguistic ascertainment of gender stereotypes presented in female linguistic material form the lexico-semantic category of “Character”. Within this category, the lexico-semantic sub-categories “Emotionality”, “Fearfulness and diffidence” and “Dreaminess” play a significant role, representing the corresponding stereotypes.

The article deals with the classification system of arts by American analytical philosopher Nelson Goodman. His concept of the dividing of the art-world into two types of art: «allographic» and «autographic» arts is strongly problematic. The author proves that an empirical distinction between the types of art does not negate the profound unity of the artistic world. The article focuses on the use of supplementary authentic reading texts in teaching English as a foreign language. It aims at improving the reading skills and strategies of adult learners in a conventional classroom setting and in a computerized learning environment. The use of authentic materials is an important principle of communicative language learning and it contributes to the development of an individual learning style and learner autonomy. Developing reading skills is an important part of foreign language teaching. Foreign language textbooks offer a variety of reading texts but there is usually a one-size-fits-all approach to the way the texts are presented and to the choice of reading comprehension exercises. When that is the case, foreign language teachers try to find supplementary texts and design their own exercises. In order to achieve better results, certain issues have to be taken into account. These are the similarities and differences between reading in one’s first language and reading in a foreign language, the reasons for reading and the aims of a reading programme, the advantages and disadvantages of using authentic texts at all levels of language proficiency and the criteria we use to choose appropriate texts from various sources.

The author has noted that the main goal of personally-oriented education is a holistic personality development and formation of personal self-reflection and process actualization of personal development. Formed theoretical and methodological grounds of the indicated project are not always supported by specific methods and strategies for their implementation in practice in terms of higher education. An effective tool in this situation can become narrative approach, which is being actively developed in foreign pedagogy. The narrative approach combines the ideas of social constructionism, phenomenological pedagogy and hermeneutics texts. A full assessment of the narrative approach is possible only in terms of its practical implementation.

This article demonstrates how to use a variety of techniques by students to draw the textures while performing decorative still life at school. The result of the work on the still life from beginners was: the ability to think correctly on the basis of the theory of composition, the improvement of nature transfer skills, sense of form, material, color and item beauty upbringing.

The article gives an analysis of the artistic structure of the heroic epos of the Khanty people as the source of the national story development in the Khanty literature. As a result of the research it was discovered that the process of transformation of epic motives and themes into literary text as well as peculiarities of styles and poetic figures of speech dating back to folklore intervenes according to the author’s individual, cultural and axiological worldview.

The article explores the ways to optimize the size of the printed guide. As a result, being an edition with creolized text, the guide has components, which modernization will facilitate the introduction of interactive features into traditional genre model. As specific examples, the author offers to use activity elements in the printed guidebook from the formats that are widely used in children's literature, namely from the panorama book (three-dimensional images, inserts, paper engineering) and travel diary («journaling»).

The subject of the paper is the internet newspaper. Being based on a printed newspaper, an internet newspaper is viewed as hybrid, which means that it combines traditional parameters of the prototype and means of information organization and presentation peculiar for the Internet. Among them there are special graphic issuance of text, multimedia features, hypertextuality, a multilayered construction and interactivity.

В статье рассматривается возможность кастомизации механизма ввода текста для платформы Windows Phone 8.1, а именно, создание альтернативы системной клавиатуре. Приведен обзор стандартного поля текстового ввода TextBox, некоторых особенностей и возможностей этого элемента. Обозначено также понятие «фокус ввода», названы элементы управления, которые обладают возможностью принимать на себя фокус, описаны условия, выполнение которых необходимо для того, чтобы фокусирование на этих элементах было доступно. Сформулированы рекомендации по созданию настраиваемой, локальной для приложения клавиатуры, поведение и функции которой максимально приближены к общепринятым.

The article shares personal experience in teaching a foreign language to non-linguistic students. The author reveals the problems facing professors and gives recommendations on how to develop the language skills. Working with electronic means of information transmission has proved to be highly effective.
