The paper emphasizes the relevance of the reader’s competence development at the University by means of English as a Foreign Language as an important component of the formation of communicative professionally oriented competence for the purpose of pursuing long life professional, research and personal growth of graduates at the international level in a global multicultural world. Specificity of forming the readers’ competence of students of technical specialties at the University is analyzed, taking into account the educational levels of the academic space organization at the university. The set of essential approaches: competence, interdisciplinary and personality-oriented in the process of English for Specific Purposes learning is taken into account. The concept of “reading competence” is considered as a valuable component of general professional competence of Higher School students of non-linguistic major. The importance of using Internet technologies as an interactive basis for teaching English for Specific Purposes is accented.

Данная статья посвящена выявлению концепта «город Якутск» в романе А. Геласимова «Холод». Анализ основан на определении концепта Ю.Е. Прохорова. Автор романа изображает человека, потерявшего смысл жизни, он ставит его в экстремальные условия, в которых герой должен пересмотреть заново свою жизнь. В частности в статье проанализирована пространственная организация романа «Холод» и влияние города на главного героя романа. В результате выявлены главные составляющие концепта «город Якутск» – «холод» и «ад».

The article reveals the political views and legal ideas of the Grand Prince of Kiev, Vladimir Vsevolodovich Monomakh on the basis of the analysis of his works. The great statesman sought to show the problems of different areas of life of the ancient Russian society in his writings, but the prince's main ideas had political and legal content. Only a meaningful analysis of the political and legal views of Vladimir Monomakh will allow us to understand his point of view concerning the political and legal conjuncture of the Old Russian state.

The article examines the issues of influence of OPEC countries on the international oil market. Also, the author analyzes the state of the oil market and fluctuations in oil prices at the macroeconomic level for 2011–2016.

This article analyzes the existing models for assessing the image of the territory and concluded that it is necessary to develop a model that allows to assess the image of the territory taking into account all the main target audiences. The study of models of the image of the territory considered in the scientific literature was carried out by the method of traditional (non-formalized) analysis of documents on the basis of scientific publications of Russian and foreign authors. The author suggests using the «ideal point» model to assess the image of the territory. At the same time, the assessment of the image of the territory should be carried out for all groups of consumers, taking into account the weight coefficients reflecting the importance of opinions and the number of respondents of each group.

The article discusses the role of independent learning of foreign languages as an effective form of language education, that promotes acquisition of strong language skills and raises the interest in the foreign language among students. The author pays attention to the goals and objectives of independent learning, its organization, content, types and forms. It is concluded that systematic and carried out independent learning has a great educational value and contributes to the acquisition of the foreign language.

This article analyzes the theoretical prerequisites for the formation of communicative competences for the 8th and 9th grade students of the main school in the implementation of State educational standard of a basic general education. According to the author, the corporate structure of economic entities is objective need today owing to the fact that the created conditions of acceleration of economic development of the country often demand association of several legal entities and individuals conducting an entrepreneurial activity to achieve the required result. At the same time, the corporation is not independent legal form and its activity is not regulated by the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. In this regard, there is a set of various interrelations and the relations of economic entities which are based on a basis of self-government and membership of participants of corporation on long-term contractual and contract conditions. This, in turn, predetermines the search of new, most effective forms and methods of formation and development of control systems of corporations including increases in level of their personnel potential.

The article examines the points of view of the Russian émigré literature concerning the activities of an admiral A.V. Kolchak in the anti-Bolshevik movement – work for the government of a Lieutenant-General D.L. Croatia in Harbin, the performance of the duties of a Supreme Ruler and Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the views of such emigrant authors as the generals A.P. Budberg, N.N. Golovin, D.V. Filatev, a member of the government A.V. Kolchak, G.K. Hins, head of the constitutional-democratic party P.N. Miliukov, who considered the admiral's involvement in the dictator's duties as a mistake, which had great negative consequences for the White movement in the East of the country.
