This article focuses on the current problems of higher education - training of future teachers. The author highlights the issues associated with the identification of the essential characteristics of communicative competence, the role in the system of post-graduate training of the teaching staff. A special place is given to consider the possibilities of educational discipline "Interaction of educational process subjects" in the formation of communicative competence among young scientists at the stage of post-graduate education.
