Программной средой реализации практикума является система автоматизации управления проектами Ms Project. В качестве предметной области реализации выбрана реконструкция цеха условного предприятия. Основное назначение лабораторного практикума состоит не столько в изучении функциональных возможностей программной системы, сколько в освоении способов её практического применения для подготовки и реализации управленческих решений в процессе моделирования «нештатных» ситуаций, нередко складывающихся в реальной производственной деятельности. Это позволяет формировать у студентов профессиональные компетенции, определённые соответствующим ФГОС.
