The article analyses the results of a study investigating self-presentation in social media among adolescents. The results suggest that not all teenagers are familiar with optimal ways of online self-presentation.

The article discusses the mechanisms and tools for managing the competitiveness of Romanian municipalities, which is justified by the objective needs of the management of the Romanian municipalities in systematizing information about the features of competitiveness of municipalities, identifying the factors that determine the competitive position of municipalities, specifying the competitiveness assessment indicators, and also in searching for new effective management methods and tools, including public-private partnership as a factor for modernization and a method of implementation of the official goals and objectives of the management of municipalities.

This article discusses the manifestation of dangerous hydrometeorological processes in the Central Federal district. The analysis of manifestation dynamics of these dangers is carried out. The dependences of the hazardous processes cases number in general and by categories of on the temperature regime consequences are considered in the article. It was found out that within areas where average annual temperature exceeds annual temperature in the Central Federal district the number of hurricanes and heavy rains exceeds the average value, and the number of cases leading to negative consequences associated with blizzards and snowfall well below their average long-term manifestations, but the number of floods above their average values. The algorithm of calculation of forecast economic damages from manifestation of hydrometeorological dangers is offered.

The article is devoted to the current problems of learning foreign language by advanced academic staff. The author outlines that academic staff learn a foreign language to upgrade their skills, therefore while teaching advanced adults it is necessary to take into consideration some peculiarities which are connected to their life and educational experience. This paper examines methods of scientific research. The aim of the study is to develop methods for further analysis of the concept of "body" in the Yakut language picture of the world. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the main study is determined by the study of the concept of the Body in ethnic culture by studying the most ancient kind of folk creativity - epic, its language, attitude to the environment/or attitude towards man, woman, upper and lower world, mythology and rites. The practical significance of the work is the possibility of using the studied material, i.e. methods of research for qualitative analysis of the text, and to give conclusions in the preparation of indicators of folklore motives, in the courses of lectures on folklore of Yakuts and other Turkic people, having a single-crown beginning of the epic story of Olonho.

Modern shipbuilding is a diversified industry, which includes the construction of ship hulls, machinery and equipment, as well as a number of related products. Shipbuilding is characterized by unfavorable working conditions, the presence of dangerous and harmful factors leading to work–related injuries, general and occupational morbidity. In recent years, the shipbuilding and ship repair industry, which was largely dependent on ups and downs in the economy, has experienced extremely difficult times. It is possible that the improvement of the economic situation in the field of shipbuilding and ship repair will serve as a reason for reviewing the organization of occupational safety at the level of countries and companies, and will also contribute to the general improvement of working conditions in this important industry.

The authors emphasize the subjectivity of perception and pay attention to the individual association of images common to two different cultures. The originality of this work is not only in the comparative assessment of Russian and English proverbs and sayings, but also in the definition of similarities and differences in the perception of the worldview of the two cultures, in an attempt to understand the reasons for this difference, as well as the causes and consequences of different approaches to the understanding of life facts. The authors point out the connection of the unknown with the already known, and this unknown is precisely a metaphysical approach to the already known stylistic techniques. A classification of folk sayings is built on the specific examples and the hypothesis about interaction of the national mentality and cultural-historical development is put forward. The authors emphasize that proverbs and sayings are not only a cultural achievement, but also a means of comparative cultural and linguistic analysis.

This article is considered the problem of influence of style of family education on development of independence of children 5–6 years old. The views of authors were studied and were analyzed, determining the impact of the family on the development of children's personality and were proved that children can achieve a certain level of independence by the end of preschool age. We found out that democratic style is the most acceptable style. It instills the skills of independence among children, leads to the achievement of results of activity. The article also presents the aim and methods of studying the level of independence of preschool children, the results of identifying the impact of family education style on the development of independence of senior preschoolers.
