Annotation: the article emphasizes the relevance of improving the quality of training in costume design using creative techniques. The problems encountered by teachers in the process of teaching fashion design and ways to solve them are considered. In particular, the method of morphological analysis is described, which allows teachers of special disciplines to develop students' creative abilities more effectively. It tells about the systematization of the search for new ideas by introducing the "Morphological box" method into the educational process. The importance of the formation of professional competencies for the training of competitive domestic specialists is emphasized. Possible ways of updating tasks and exercises within the framework of the programs of the "Costume Design" direction are proposed.

The transition to a cumulative system of professional development of teaching staff is one of the key factors in the modernization of the Russian education system at the present stage. Monitoring of existing models of accumulative systems, including their regulatory regulation at the level of regional educational systems and educational organizations implementing professional development programs, shows that the reasons for introducing this organizational model are the peculiarities of education development in the conditions of the formation of the information society, the implementation of the National Project "Education", the implementation of the competence model of education, professional standards, the involvement of teachers with basic non-pedagogical (university) education in school. The article considers one of the ways of solving the main task of the special-purpose programme of education development in Russian Federation – the correspondence between the professional education structure and content and the labor market demands. The author proposes the correlation of principles of the professional education, the professional linguodidactics and the synergetics to be the basis of a syllabus for the course “Foreign Language”.
