Didactic games with velcro represent a modern and efficient method for cognitive development in preschool children. Their attractiveness stems from their simple construction, bright visual appeal, and reusability. These games provide active interaction between children and materials, helping form fundamental cognitive skills while stimulating interest in learning. They assist in developing sensory perception, fine motor skills, logical thinking, analytical ability, and object classification. Furthermore, they enhance motivation towards academic activities. The use of velcro-based didactic games in pedagogy aims to harmoniously combine play and instruction, creating comfortable conditions for acquiring new knowledge and skills by preschoolers.

The relevance of the event is determined by the need to increase the level of financial literacy of modern schoolchildren, on the one hand, as a task of the state, and on the other, as a response to social demand from students and their parents. Games are a great way to make learning important and interesting facts fun for the younger generation. They stimulate cognitive interest, help to master a foreign language better, and develop qualities such as independence and initiative. In addition, games contribute to the formation of a team spirit: students actively work together, support each other and listen attentively, and the teacher acts as a mentor. To broaden the horizons of the students and introduce them to interesting facts about the culture of English-speaking countries, I use the game according to the rules of the popular TV show "Field of Miracles". It is intended for students in grades 8-10 and is dedicated to English idioms on the topic of "Money".

The article examines the technology of using various types of children's construction as a means of developing the cognitive and creative abilities of older preschool children. The potential of constructive activities for the development of elementary mathematical concepts, spatial thinking, imagination and collaboration skills was analyzed.A teacher's work system is presented, including the integration of design with other educational areas, and specific examples of organizing children's joint and independent activities are offered. The article is devoted to the analysis of cognitive distortions that are most often encountered in the practice of education and are assessed from the perspective of scenario prescriptions. Examples of transformation of parental attitudes into independent limiting beliefs are considered, and a model for the formation of a child’s scenario response to a negative parental message is described. A linear algorithm for reducing the intensity of the influence of cognitive distortions on the mental life of a subject is presented.

The article is devoted to the issue of forming cognitive interest in younger students with intellectual disability. The issue is present not only among children with intellectual disability, but it is with them that it is most difficult to form it, since in primary school age these children still have a predominant play activity, as a result of which children with intellectual disability have distorted conception about the world around them. Intellectually disabled students tend to have a superficial acquaintance with any subject, as a result of which it is quite difficult for them to analyze and synthesize, so their perception and understanding also suffers. The correctional program presented in the article has a mission to eliminate these problems and help children in the formation of correct cognition.

Nightmares are scary or disturbing dreams which are associated with negative feelings, such as fear, terror or disgust. These feelings oftentimes awake the dreamer, who can easily recollect the content of the nightmare. Nightmares are not necessarily a symptom of a disease. Moreover, nightmares with little emotional response are experienced by almost all people once in a while without any risk for their health. However, nightmares that occur frequently and disturb the sleep might lead to clinically significant impairments in social, professional and other areas of life. They are considered a sleep disorder (parasomnia) and require a proper treatment. This review discusses the theoretical models of nightmares, their causes, diagnostics and treatment strategies.

The article discusses the features of the cognitive processes of students, including the process of cognition in context with the artistic and educational environment that ensures the reflection of the phenomena of the objective world in solving the upcoming life tasks. The impact of an insufficiently objective attitude to the discipline «Visual arts» in school teaching practice, which influences the development of cognitive-visual (visual-cognitive) thinking of students, is shown.
