The main objective of this study is to present the sphere of housing and communal services as a system for modeling the activities of industry subsystems. The object of this study is the sphere of housing and communal services, and as a subject the features of the approach to modeling the activity of sectoral subsystems are determined. The methodological basis of the research was formed by the basic principles of the theory of operations research and the methods of economic and mathematical modeling. As a result of the research, theoretical rationale was obtained for the formation of models of sectoral subsystems in the housing and utilities sector. The novelty of the obtained results consists in the representation of the sphere of housing and communal services as a complex system and the allocation in its composition of sectoral subsystems for which theoretical approaches to their modeling were formulated.

A multifunctional forest machine in some technological operations (in the harvesting machine, forwarder mode) must provide a cyclic operation, other operations (soil cultivation, fire prevention) - continuous operation. The considered methodical approach to the formation of a knowledge base for the creation of such machines.

A new technical solution was proposed to expand the functionality of the forestry harvester. Harvester in the development of assortments ensures removal of a part of the bark from them with minimal damage to the trunk's wood.

It is promising to create multifunctional forest machines equipped with a set of multifunctional modules for reforestation, fire fighting, road construction, among which modules can be found using soil-grenades, mulchers and other techniques for laying mineralized strips and actively extinguishing forest fires.
