The relevance of the problem presented in the article is determined by the currently growing interest in the problem of the formation of financial literacy of preschool children, which is a reflection of the need to improve the financial literacy of the population. In 2018, a number of fundamental documents appeared that confirmed the seriousness of the intentions of the state authorities to increase the financial literacy of the population. These are the “Concept of the long-term socio-economic development of the Russian Federation” and the “Strategy for the development of the financial market of the Russian Federation until 2020”, where financial literacy is seen as a resource and condition for the development of the country.

The question of studying the development of logical thinking in children is one of the most important in the formation of higher mental functions. Modern younger schoolchildren are increasingly involved in the environment of computer games, it is important for teachers not only to strictly comply with the requirements of the SANPIN, but also to introduce students to games that contribute to the development of logical thinking. According to the authors, the use of elements of esports in extracurricular activities is becoming relevant nowadays. The article describes a program for the use of elements of esports in the development of logical thinking in younger schoolchildren in extracurricular activities. The article may be of interest to primary school teachers, school administrators, as well as to students of pedagogical training areas to understand the possibility of developing logical thinking using computer games.
