This article is considered the problem of influence of style of family education on development of independence of children 5–6 years old. The views of authors were studied and were analyzed, determining the impact of the family on the development of children's personality and were proved that children can achieve a certain level of independence by the end of preschool age. We found out that democratic style is the most acceptable style. It instills the skills of independence among children, leads to the achievement of results of activity.
