«Students’ understanding of a hero and heroic: to the problem of scarcity and quality of education in modern educational practice»
The article discusses the problems of mainstreaming the socialization process and organization of specially organized educational activity at school and psychological and pedagogical technologies, helping to form students’ understanding of a hero and heroic. The problem is that a part of modern generation of children, teenagers and young men doesn’t see the differences between constructive activities, positive and prosocial behavior and mock-heroic activities. This may partly be a result of socialization, because there appears a new type of understanding about heroic behavior while this process. The children and teenagers’ understanding of heroes and heroic can be affected by the technologies of falsification and deheroization, which are used in mass media. The author draws attention to the need for targeted activity on patriotic and spiritual and moral education of students by means of expanding their understanding of hero and heroic, development of semantic characteristics of a hero, his historical and modern completeness. The work optimization in this direction is a crucial task for a pedagogical process on the development of moral and ethical spheres of a person during educational process and socialization.

«The development of discourse competence of bachelors in economics»
In this article the author shares pedagogical experience of formation discursive competence of students of the faculty "Management" during the sequential action of two corresponding federal state educational standards of bachelor level, which resulted in problems of scientific research. On a theoretical level, it provides a comparative analysis of the scientific literature and regulations dealing with the formation of discursive competence of students-managers. At the empirical level, it used methods of observation and generalization of pedagogical experience. Conclusions at the end of the work can be taken into account when training and for further research.

The paper presents an educational project, the main task of which is reduced to an aggravation of pupils' interest to creativity of the great poet A.S. Pushkin, as well as improvement of the efficiency of his works reading by intellectually and artistically gifted children. The classification of Pushkin's characters by the parameters of perception of reality, honor and prestige, enlightenment and learning is made in the work. The author points out the possibility of preparation the the script of the play “Love and secret freedom” and organization of elective course “Workshop of Pushkin’s verse” within the scope of the project.

The scientific approaches to the integration of educational institutions in the social potential of the region are analyzed in the article. The functional model of cooperation of educational institutions and socially oriented non-profit organizations is proposed. This model taking into account the mission of the educational institution, algorithms and implementation of the logistics functions of institutional «players» third sector. As a mandatory construct of the model, the League providers of social services, the Department of social and political communications of the Government, Resource Center for Social Development, and the regional Ministry of Education and Ministry of Social Development are considered.

«Controversial issues in Russian historiography concerning the origin and development of the system of training of artillery personnel In Saint-Petersburg in the first half of the XVIII century»
There are some discrepancies and inaccuracies in the interpretation of certain events associated with the establishment and operation of schools and the organization of the educational process in them in the military-historical literature and other sources dealing with the military special schools’ foundation in St. Petersburg, where the training for the artillery corps had been provided during the first half of the eighteenth century. In particular, it is argued that the Saint-Petersburg artillery school «for Pushkarsk children» was established on May 20, 1730. In this article, the author, based on the study of new archival sources, specifies the date of establishment of this school. Scientific work also aims to complete the existing information about the organization and the activities of the artillery military special schools in St. Petersburg during this period. In addition, for the first time some archival sources are being introduced into scientific circulation.

Author defines the need for using modern information technologies in the educational process of the higher school as stimulators for students' self-realization. Author haves found attributive signs and modalities of students' self-realization and described the related functions of information technologies – actual and potential. The actual contour is formed by such functions as: descriptive, representative, exhibiting, search- heuristic, imprinting etc. The contour of potential functions is made by such functions of information technologies as: reflexive, activation function, inclusive, motivating, self-manifestation, amplification etc. Together both contours of functions form the holistic information environment of opportunities for students' self-realization in the format the «person-to-person» educational interaction.

The author rightly raises the question of the means of protection against the manipulation with consciousness to be possessed by citizens, but since the technology of manipulation of consciousness is used by all the media and politicians, the question arises: is this profitable for the government to train its own citizens to counteract the manipulation.
