The problem of enhancing students’ motivation to foreign language learning is considered in this article. In this context a special place is taken by the methods of foreign language teaching on the basis of native language and learning language comparison, identification of language specific features and common features inherent to different languages, language universals. The cognitive approach to language description, its presentation in large groups through semantic fields and functional-cognitive spheres contribute to that.

The work system allows keeping careful attitude towards the child’s inner world and the wideness of their individuality, as well as agreement between external and internal factors of their personality development. Conducted an anonymous survey of 1 st year students of pediatric faculty. During the work it was found that most of the students when choosing a medical specialty guided by the ideas of humanism, willingness and a desire to assist the patient in a timely manner. The survey showed that the majority of first-year students already have a specific goal to learn narrowcasting specialty, and this fact, undoubtedly contributes to the quality of medical education of the respondents.
