Annotation: the article emphasizes the relevance of improving the quality of training in costume design using creative techniques. The problems encountered by teachers in the process of teaching fashion design and ways to solve them are considered. In particular, the method of morphological analysis is described, which allows teachers of special disciplines to develop students' creative abilities more effectively. It tells about the systematization of the search for new ideas by introducing the "Morphological box" method into the educational process. The importance of the formation of professional competencies for the training of competitive domestic specialists is emphasized. Possible ways of updating tasks and exercises within the framework of the programs of the "Costume Design" direction are proposed.

«The concept of the development of methodological work at the Institute of Social Sciences and International Relations of the FSAOU in SevSU»
The main task of methodological work at the university is to link into a single methodological block the entire system of scientific-methodological and organizational-methodological support of training areas at the Institute, and not just individual disciplines, to significantly improve the quality of bachelor's and master's training on this basis. The educational and methodological work provides for improving the quality of methodological training of the teaching staff, the development of thematic plans, methodological manuals and other methodological materials. The university should carry out systematic work on methodological support not only for individual academic disciplines, but also for educational processes that ensure the preparation of bachelor's and master's degrees.

The problem of development of personal and professional qualities of students in the process of professional training was described in the article. Criteria and indicators of the development of personality-professional qualities were determined, the parameters of their manifestations as well. The examples show the relationship of personal and professional qualities and the requirements of the Professional Standard. The features of the case-method as a form of quasi-professional activity were considered. A correlation was found between official diagnoses and the use of cases as assessment tools.

«Controversial issues in Russian historiography concerning the origin and development of the system of training of artillery personnel In Saint-Petersburg in the first half of the XVIII century»
There are some discrepancies and inaccuracies in the interpretation of certain events associated with the establishment and operation of schools and the organization of the educational process in them in the military-historical literature and other sources dealing with the military special schools’ foundation in St. Petersburg, where the training for the artillery corps had been provided during the first half of the eighteenth century. In particular, it is argued that the Saint-Petersburg artillery school «for Pushkarsk children» was established on May 20, 1730. In this article, the author, based on the study of new archival sources, specifies the date of establishment of this school. Scientific work also aims to complete the existing information about the organization and the activities of the artillery military special schools in St. Petersburg during this period. In addition, for the first time some archival sources are being introduced into scientific circulation.
