This article is devoted to the task of the support of the educational process of information resources for teaching in the framework of self-educational activity of students accoding to requirements of Federal state educational standards of higher education

It is specified in the article that a lack of situational social skills in daily life situations imply a significant problem for school-age students. Therefore, this paper is intended to evaluate how situational social skills of upper class secondary school students are evaluated.

Conducted an anonymous survey of 1 st year students of pediatric faculty. During the work it was found that most of the students when choosing a medical specialty guided by the ideas of humanism, willingness and a desire to assist the patient in a timely manner. The survey showed that the majority of first-year students already have a specific goal to learn narrowcasting specialty, and this fact, undoubtedly contributes to the quality of medical education of the respondents.

The aim of the study was to examine the characteristics of leadership qualities in 1st year and 3rd year students enrolled in Lithuanian colleges. To achieve this goal 36-point Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire, developed by Bass and Avolio, was used. The results showed that 3rd year students have significantly higher levels of inspiration, compared with 1st year students.

The aim of this study was to examine the features of emotional intelligence among university students of study program "Physical education and sport". To achieve this goal Schutte Self-Report Inventory was employed. The results showed that female students have a higher ability to understand emotions, and male students – to manage their emotions.
