The article deals with priorities of level language learning at non-linguistic institutions of higher professional education in Russia and contains recommendations for level learning. This article deals with the problem of adaptation of students to the university. Particular attention is drawn to the results of a pilot study to identify important psychological qualities of the person of the student who contributed to the effective adaptation of students in the framework of participation in All-Russian innovation project «Breakthrough».

Training of senior pupils speaking English is a key problem in the context of their preparation for the oral part of the state exam. The structure of the oral part of the examination requires the student deployed reasoned monologic utterance, and the ability to ask logically questions in English. The English language in secondary school does not imply thorough preparation of students for this type of speech activity.
